Dear all Senior,
I am Pravin facing some problems with Worker OT and Leave Record. What about overtime pay for workers? I have paid wages only for working days in the company and made P.F deductions only for working days. I do not deduct P.F for W/Off payments or OT. Therefore, I request suggestions on what to do about the overtime. Management does not approve leave for workers for more than one year of work.

Dear Mr. Praveen,
Different organizations will have different policies on leave and other topics, so please review your policy thoroughly and ask for suggestions. Your question is not clear; could you please specify the department you are working in? Kindly state your concerns clearly.

Dear Saanika,
Muze aapse yeh puchna hai ki OT kaise calculate karte hain. Kya wages labor ko leave pay kar sakte hain? Aur kya uska koi format hai?

Dear Pravin,
To be frank, your question is not clear. But I will give you an answer as per my perception. Overtime amount will be double the gross of the employee by converting into hours.
For example, if the gross is 10,000 and overtime hours are 20 hours, with a month having 30 days, then the overtime amount is calculated as follows:
Overtime amount = 2*((10,000 / 30 * 8 (total working hours per day)) * 20) = 2 * 840 = 1680/-
PF should be calculated on the earned (basic + DA), i.e., 12% from the employee.
