Hi,
I am a confirmed employee (eight months old) in an MNC consulting company. I met with a car accident and was forced to take medical leave for about two months. During this leave period, the company has not paid my salary.
Does the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) exist in India? Could anyone guide me on the applicable medical leave policies in India?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Rishi

Dear Rishi,
You don't have an accidental policy because if you have an accidental policy, then you will get a little bit against absenteeism.
As you have asked about the medical leave policy, it varies from state to state because each state has its own Shops and Establishments Act. Please clarify the state of your establishment, and then we can provide you with an idea about medical leaves.
Thank you.
