Safety Tips for Diwali
- Burst crackers in open spaces and keep a safe distance.
- Do not light oil lamps and crackers at home.
- Ensure fire extinguishers are in working condition.
- Do not keep a stock of crackers near fire.
- Staircases and refuge areas should be kept free to escape in an emergency.
- Do not overload an electric socket just to have a brighter Diwali.
- Approach roads should be kept free for the passage of fire brigade vehicles.
- Don't use powder, ghee, or any other home remedies on a burnt body surface, as this always creates a chance of infection.
- In case of any emergency, rush to the nearest hospital.
Apart from all the above, if possible, avoid bursting crackers and maintain cleanliness near your home as well as in your city.
