Teachers in most private sectors are underpaid. Govt. and high-end private schools/colleges pay good salary. I don’t think this is true to all teachers.

I feel that there are schools that do not give weightage to monetary benefits, personality development, capacity building, career progression. Whereas, many private schools focus well on the above components. Teachers leave the current job as soon as they get to know about other institutions that pay well and offer a chance to grow.

I think there are few factors -
[1] when the internal environment in many cases demands individual teachers to be with the active group. Those who unable to cope up have not option than to leave.
[2] when Other administrative work increases alogwith teacher.
[3] There is a sever ego problems.
[4] Grapewines may active role behind it.
[5] Sudden popularity of one teacher among students also teases others which generate politics. When the limit crosses... the teacher have to quit.

Dear Tannu,
Being a Lecturer i can tell u that there are some reasons when teacher will leave:
1. Less salary
2. Unhealthy internal environment(like internal politics)
3. More Administrative work.
4. Less future growth.
5. Lack of Professionalism as compare to industry. The promotion is not performance based it is based on years of experience you are having.
In my opinion it can be the few reasons.
Thanks Pooja

in my view that teachers are behaving as per the scenario of current colleges/schools, like soo many colleges gives rise to soo many lectures and it direcrtly proportional to very adverse competition. this leads to non caring to employees from the management and so as the non-loyalty by the employees(teachers) towards their company)school.
