Seniors,I joined recently a small co. in Delhi, has 30-32 people strength. I want to know a salary breakup for an employee has salary 18000rs in hand,in my company so, how we\'ll break up n if tds will be applicable then how much how much amount for HRA , conveyance,basic n etc. here we don\'t provide Medical allowance,

Dear sir,
Greetings for the day,
The break up can be done by using following manner :
Basic : 50%-60% of the gross salary but mind it should not be less than the minimum wages defined by the state govt. time to time.
HRA : 40%-50% of the basic salary.
Convy.- not more than Rs. 800/- above than that is taxable.
Med. Allow - not more than Rs.1250/- above than that is taxable.
Tel. Allw. : not more than Rs. 1000/- above than that is taxable.
Rest balance should be kept under spl. allowances/ other allowance.
