hi, i’ll suggest u to have conversation with your boss first and then think of another job, because in this competitive market shifting to a new job is not the right decision.

You say you have received low increment.

You say the boss is behaving differently (than what he used to be)

You are confused on what to do next.

Being with your boss, you are not able to find whats running in his head. How do you expect people on this forum to predict?

Not to underestimate the answers given by others, but why is it that no one is interested in knowing the core issue. Hema Harish - you need to discuss with your boss on these two issues

a) On why the boss is acting different nowawdays. Is it becuase there is a mistake on your part, or a rectification that you need to make? Or if there is anything to do with your performance, relationship with other colleagues, or if someone has told something about you that needs to be sorted.

b) After this, ask why you received a low hike in salary

Not just you, most of the perople work because they need money to run the show. So if you feel you need to know why you have not received an increment ask your boss about it. Propbably he mis understood an issue and decided that you are wrong until you spoke to him about it.

And BTW I googled, there is no software to guess a Boss's mind. Best software solution is "Ask him yourself"!

Good Luck

[QUOTE=hemaharish;1155218]Hi,
I am working for a private company for last 15 years as Accounts Executive.
I have given preference for work rather than money. But, nowa days my boss acts very differently towards me when compared to previous years.
I do not know the reasons for the same.
Everything was OK. This time the increment is less when compared to others. No reasons. I am bit confused to judge as to what the reason might be.
Could someone guide me as to what might be the reasons.
Dear Hemaharish,
As adviced by others. do yourself a self analysis and look at job desciption whether there are areas you are not doing well. If you don't find any, be sure there is someone who spoiling your Boss's mind for one reason or another and start to look for new opportunities. By the way, change gives us more challenge to move ahead. With your experiance you don't need to fear change.
Best reqards,
salim
