I have joined a company recently wherein no employee engagement has happened.
I don't want it to be very expensive and time taking also.
The objective is to connect with the team and bring them all together for some fun.

You may plan for some Team lunch outing, conduct some sport events either indoor or outdoor subject to feasibility, celebrate Birthdays, have periodical fun games, provide training where ever required. You should ensure that such events increase employee's motivation and positive feelings about the work environment.
