A month after leaving a company I dropped a mail to payroll team to inquire about the status of my full and final amount. They replied that I owe some recovery amount to them for the relocation services they provided in the initial days of my employment. But as per offer letter I paid the relocation package amount to them before leaving the company. They are now contesting that I need to pay total relocation amount which includes the services also, but nowhere in the offer letter these services are mentioned. Only the relocation amount which company to me at the time of joining is mentioned, which I already paid. Due to this my total due to company exceeds the full amount that company owes to me. Could anyone please help on how to go about this and any legal services I need to avail here?
