Recently we received a letter of compliance from the Board of Apprenticeship Training for the enrolment of our company on the MHRD portal and engage apprentices. Ours is an R&D company with an employee strength of 50 members. Can anyone please suggest if it's mandatory for us to enroll and engage apprentices?

All establishments having work force (regular and contract employees) of 30 or more are mandated to undertake Apprenticeship Programs in a range from 2.5% -15% of its workforce (including direct contractual employees) every year.

Now a days many of the organisations are receiving notices from Board of Apprentice for not following the compliances. Government is providing lots of benefits to develop the skills & employment opportunities of the un skilled & un employed persons.
All the organisations having 30 or more employees need to register & engage Apprentice under NAPS/NATS scheme either directly or through any TPA's
