Can clauses of the appointment letter be changed later? For eg, an employee was given a notice clause of 3 months, and can that be changed to 1 month after may be 3 -4 yrs?

Hi
Yes it can be changed but the change has to be informed to all employees formally.
Example: earlier the notice period was 1 month, and now it has been changed to 2months mandatory.
Please let me know if the query is completed.

hi!
It is all depend on the nature of work and the failure of employee to comply with the procedures, the employer may change the facts, however, when employed, the procedure will remain intact for the old employee and the effect take place for the prospective employees, also, the employer may change for the benefit of the organisation in order to avoid attrition rate going high, also, it reflects the employed got good training and accommodated to the work efficiency the organisation did not want to service ended in the present structure. What ever the case may be all the procedures required to be informed to the employee..as it has effect in service issues.
