Dear Friends, I completed graduation in 1999. Started my career as a Secretary to the CEO in 2000. The company got closed down n due to some personal commitments i had to shift to Panchagani to assist my parents in their business. In 2002 came back in Mumbai started career as Health Club receptionist with Hotel Holiday Inn. Pursued Personal training Course - Fitness Industry.. Since then was into Fitness Industry as a Fitness Trainer.

Currently pursuing DHRM from Welingkars and trying consistently to get a job into HR but I am not even selected to appear for an interview due to my last position of Fitness trainer.

I have experience of five years plus. And I can handle front office, i used to do the admin, work as well for my ex bosses...use to be ther for every job he used to give me. Be it sales calls, secretarial, front office etc..

My last salary drawn ws Rs. 10000/- plus incentives.

But i am afraid i have to start again from the salary of Rs. 5000/-

What should I do so that people start seeing beyond my last position and and that I have had an exp of Five years and I can handle certain things...I am not fresher for every job...

Your suggestion would be very much valuable to me.

I think you will definately get a good job once again, if you try seriously n i would suggest that when you go for the interview, n u should mention in your cv the strengths which you have, like you can work as secretary, admin also, n mention all the strengths in your cv. so that you could better job calls.
best wishes.

Hello
- Consider applying for entry level HR positions, such administrator, new graduate program, etc these must be seen as adding value to HR and the organisation
- Locate a HR forum or institute that you can join and therefore get your name out
- Try to locate a HR mentoring program and be involved. Generally the mentors are well connected in industry and can assist
- Consider applying for part-time or even causal HR positions that will expose you to the industry
- Lastly, don't give up but keep looking
