There seems to be no such exemption available to ex servicemen in Kerala. So long as they are employed or professionally engaged they would earn salary/ income/ revenue and as such there need not be any exemption or different treatment. It is to be noted that it is not their pension income which is subjected to profession tax but the revenue or salary income that they receive by doing a business or profession or employment that is subjected to payment of profession tax.
In many other states there are exemptions available to ex servicemen and persons with disabilities and parents of differently abled children.
