Dear Seniors, please share your expert views on my question below. I work in a hospital where all employees mark their attendance using a machine. However, the only person who does not mark their attendance on the machine is the Medical Director. The Medical Director reports to the CEO of the hospital, who personally marks their attendance. The Medical Director seems reluctant to comply with this attendance system.

Should the Medical Director adhere to the hospital policy and mark their attendance like other employees, or is there room for flexibility considering their position? A circular has already been issued stating that employees who do not mark their attendance will not be considered for annual increments or promotions.
