Can someone distinctly give an example explaining the difference between a role profile and a job description? I have been instructed to incorporate role profiles into all the job descriptions. My template includes Position, Required Qualifications and Skill Set, Key Responsibilities, and Job Description sections. However, I am struggling to comprehend the concept of a role profile.

You have to start with your organization chart to make a role profile. Since you have asked for an example, please see the following.
Role: Maintenance Manager
Organizational Grade: Management 3 (M3)
Reports to: Works Manager – Management 2 (M2)
Superior Reports to: Unit Head - Management (M1)
Direct Reportees: Maintenance Engineers (Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation)
Indirect Reportees: 12
Educational Qualification: BE (Mechanical)
Additional Qualification: MBA
Experience: 10 years
Since you have already made the JD, I have not explained the same. Hope you have some clarity now.
