Our company has a 6-day week. We have a policy that if a national holiday falls on a Sunday, we give an additional day off on some other Saturday, etc. This year, we are planning a company off-site from Friday to Sunday. We are thinking of using the spare holidays to accommodate the off days for the off-site.

Question: Some employees feel that the company off-site should be on normal working days, and we shouldn't be using these extra holidays to accommodate the off-site days. Comments?

What is a company offsite? Is it like going for an outing? Does your company conduct such outings regularly every month, or does it happen once a year? If the former is the practice, employees may lose a few holidays or weekly off days. If the latter is the practice, a single day or two days are not an issue, and you can schedule it on holidays or weekly off days.
