Dear All,

ISO 10015 is the most recent and latest concept in training. I am sharing this information with each one of you. I would like to have your comments and suggestions regarding the same.

ISO 10015 is very valuable; however, it is not new. The International Standards Organization has simply codified what has been recognized as best practice in training over the last twenty years or so. It has put into an auditable form what is known within the training industry as Instructional Systems Design (ISD).

As good as ISO 10015 is, its main shortcoming, as I see it, is that it has little to say about the management/organizational systemic factors that make training effective for improving organizational outcomes. It has little to say about culture, management support, reward systems, etc.

I would be interested to hear the views of others.
