Hello everyone,

I am a newbie to this forum. I have joined to stay updated with the latest trends and discuss issues that I am getting stuck with.

I have completed a few HR courses in BA and plan to do a few more in the MBA. I am working as a GM in a labor-intensive industry and need to focus on the HR issues in the company to make it prosper.

Hi, muslimfaisal ... Nice to have you on board.

With your experience, you would indeed be a valuable asset to the forum if you choose to contribute regularly and voraciously. Hope to see a lot of your experience helping us on the forum. Maybe you could raise some specific topics close to your heart in this forum, and we could take a discussion forward on them. You and other experienced members could share your experiences and ground realities, whereas we inexperienced members could put in our free-flow ideas. What say??

Your username... Why should you mention your religion with your name? This forum is not restricted to any religion, caste, creed, or race. Just a view... I hope you agree with me, and no offense.

Hi Scare_crow,

Hahaha... 😂 😂 😂.

Ajmal, dude... I take your advice big time, but I have seen religion becoming a rejecting/selecting criteria in the industry. I tell all my candidates that they should not mention their religion on their profile. That's the reason I made that comment. Hope you get my point. Nothing personal about it.

Enjoy life, the weekend has arrived.

Hi Vishal,

This is not a forum to discuss religion, but as the matter has come up, I am as proud to be Indian as I am proud to be Muslim. So if my ID could be ajmalindian, then why not ajmalmuslim? I don't think that any of these IDs will diminish the loyalty to the nation or religion. And if the HR of a company will not hire me because I am Indian or Muslim, then I'd better not work in that company. I would rather hide or underproject my identity.

Sorry again to discuss this matter on the HR forum. I know this is not the right place, but as the matter came up, I could do nothing but respond.
