Hi all,

I applied for EPF withdrawal on 2nd September 2007. However, it is still not completed and the process seems to be ongoing. When I checked with the EPF office, they informed me that it is with the Accounts department and will be cleared in 10 days. Despite this assurance, it has now been 25 days and I am still waiting for the withdrawal to be processed.

Could someone please guide me on how to proceed in this matter?

Thanks

Hi,
I hope you are lucky enough to get processed for the September application. We have applications submitted in April pending with the Mumbai PF office. Since your application is pending with the A/c department, it will be processed at the earliest. You have to wait patiently for the amount.

Dear Vishwas,

I firmly agree with what Suresh has suggested. EPF Authorities are very lazy when it comes to clearing the payments, just like any Govt. organization, which you call "Babu Shahi".

As it is pending with the accounts department for the processing of your cheque, hopefully, I can make a wish you get it within a fortnight. Further, if it is not processed within 30 days of the EPF Authorities receiving your application, including Form 10C and 19, you must contact the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner with an application asking them to clear your amount ASAP because the EPF Authorities are bound to release the funds within 30 days as per the provisions provided under the Employee Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act.

I hope this information makes sense to you. Take care and have patience!

Regards,
Padam
