Greetings to all. I have recently joined as an HR professional in a company. The issue I found here is that some of the employees were transferred to different units of the same company around one year back, i.e., in 2016. They were shown as "left" from this unit and given new joining in another unit. They have UAN numbers initially issued by the company, but when they joined the new unit, they were issued a different UAN number (either by the mistake of the HR person or by the EPFO office). Now, I want to know how these both UAN numbers can be merged, or if one can be stopped. Will it be done by submitting Form 13 (revised), or is there any other process?

Hi Saurabh,

It might have happened due to a mistake by the company's HR in the past, as the EPF department has no role in issuing a new UAN. Anyway, you can submit an online transfer of fund request using the employee's new UAN login ID. It would be a much easier process than going the manual way, as you don't need to go anywhere.

After submitting the request individually, you can approve it from your own portal using the authorized e-signatures.

Sir,

I have faced the same problem. My question is, while using the employee's new UAN login ID, only the present organization details are showing in the portal. Previous service details are not showing. How can an employee initiate the transfer claim online?

Please guide.

Regards,
Monalisa
