Dear friends,
Could someone please clarify if you are already subscribed to EPF and then you secure a new job where they do not deduct your EPF because you have exceeded the salary limit of Rs. 15,000/-? Is this situation acceptable?

When you join a new company under the PF Act, they should give you PF Form 11 (revised) to fill up irrespective of your basic salary. This is required as per the PF Act. Once you are a member of PF, you will continue to remain a member, i.e., if you have not withdrawn your earlier company PF. However, they will contribute only Rs. 1800 = 15000*12%. Unlike the pension scheme, there is no retirement age under PF.
