Dear all,

I need scaffold design drawings for making scaffolding inside cyclones, pyro clones, riser ducts, silos, etc. Can anyone share the scaffold design drawing? If the above is not available, please share any available one.

Also, could you let me know how we can calculate the load-bearing capacity of scaffolding? Is there a standard formula for this based on different types of scaffolding?

I look forward to great participation in this thread. Scaffolding is a subject about which I am not yet confident. I hope this forum will help me learn more about scaffolding.

Thanks in advance.

If you are using system formwork, refer the design calculations provided by the scaffold manufacturers. Regards R.Ponraj

Dear Mr. R.Ponraj Thanks a lot for your inputs to the query... We are using steel tublar scaffolding... Buy the pipes from the manufactorer... Not get any design calculations along with it...

Dear Dipil,

Best coordinate with a scaffold manufacturer or scaffolding engineer/supervisor to get the perfect solution for your query. Scaffolding design and calculation are not like swimming in a pond; it's more like swimming in the sea or ocean, as you know very well. Mr. Dipil, there are many scaffolding load calculating software available on the internet, but they are too expensive and difficult to learn.

Dear Ponraj,

Thank you for your input.

Dear seniors,

Those with good knowledge, especially in scaffolding, please come forward and help find a solution. I have attached OSHA scaffolding safety requirements; although it's not directly related to your query, it pertains to scaffolding.

If I have made any mistakes, please advise me, and I will correct them. Thanks in advance.

Thanks and besafe,

Raghu

Dear Dipil,

I had sent an email to one of my seniors (unfortunately, he is on Christmas vacation) regarding your query. If I receive a positive reply, I will share it with you all.

Dear seniors,

I am eagerly awaiting your replies on this thread. Please come forward with your comments.

Thanks in advance.

Dear Dipil Kumar,

What is required is to select steel tubular scaffolding for use inside a cyclone. Get your Civil Engineer to design the scaffolding work with a factor of safety double what he would normally use as the working area is conical inside a cyclone. I presume you are referring to cyclones in the Cement Industry.

Do give me a call sometime to have a broad, lengthy discussion on the subject.

Best wishes for the New Year,

Daljit Singh

Dear KVS,

Thank you very much for your valuable input. The document seems quite impressive at first glance. I will study it thoroughly and will get back to you with my comments and any doubts soon.

Dear Daljit Singh,

You have rightly assessed the situation regarding the cyclone. I am specifically referring to the cement industry. Nevertheless, thank you for sharing your contact number. I am looking forward to having a fruitful discussion with you over the phone on this topic.

Can anyone share a scaffold design drawing? To be honest, I have not seen one yet.

When we encounter an erected scaffold, how can we calculate the load it can bear? I believe most of you may be experts in this area.

I hope my question is not too silly, and I anticipate a solution through active participation from everyone.

Thanks in advance to all.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I am a newcomer to this forum and to scaffolding work. Could you please help me find a reference document or procedure regarding scaffolding installation that has been used for a long time (more than 1.5 years)?

I am new to the scaffold industry, working for the past year as a scaffold inspector. I have gone through your discussion and noticed some technical words like "cyclone" and "conical designs." What are those? Please help me.

The terms "cyclone" and "conical designs" are not related to scaffolding. A cyclone is a component of kiln preheaters in the cement industry, and it is in a conical shape. Please share your expertise with us in the field of scaffolding. Please give me a call when you have time for a fruitful discussion. My number is [Phone Number Removed For Privacy Reasons].

Very good discussions so far on this thread. I have missed somehow. Great attachment shared. As I also look after the infrastructure development projects, we sometimes use scaffolds. I appoint a structural engineer and get the scaffold design from him. This is a specialized area. The safety professionals can study the calculations, but the approval has to be done by a qualified professional. Thanks for all attachments.

How old is this thread?

I work for a scaffold company and I design scaffolding in 3D to provide solutions for cyclones and cylinders for oil companies worldwide. I enjoy tackling various problems and collaborating with those in need of assistance to devise effective solutions.

We need to dismantle some spools from a critical area. We did not find any holding point for attaching the rigging tackles for the removal and reinstallation of the vapor spools. The only solution we have found right now is to provide a beam ladder with adequate scaffolding support and extension outriggers to avoid tipping of the scaffolding during dismantling.

The weight of the dismantling spool is 800 kg.

Please provide some drawings with calculations to present to the client.

@Syam-Syam, Please hire a professional designer for this job. Scaffolding is a specialized subject, and you need an expert to design such arrangements. Don't expect to get something ready-made from this forum for your customized needs.
