Pls tell me why Form 11 is to be filed and whether it can be deposited to the PF Dept. for Pension Fund Withdrawal, is the withdrawal of Pension Fund possible without Retirement?

Dear Amit,

Withdrawal of pension before retirement is not possible. Also, note that if a person has completed 10 years of service where their PF contribution has not been withdrawn and it is accumulated, then the individual has to apply for a Pension Scheme Certificate. Please cross-check this information with a senior authority. This is based on my knowledge and understanding.

Thank you.

Dear Amit,

Form No. 11 (Eleven) under EPF scheme pertains to information provided by an employee when joining a new employer, regarding their previous employments, including the names and addresses of employers along with the duration of service. Additionally, a new joiner declares whether they were previously a member of the EPF scheme or not. This form should be retained by the employer and should not be submitted to the Sub/Regional Commissioner. During an inspection of an establishment's records, an EPF inspector may request these forms to verify eligibility criteria.

Hi,

The Form 11 of EPF is a declaration by the employee certifying that wherever he has worked, whether or not he had a PF account number. The government has introduced this form to prevent employees from having multiple PF account numbers. For example, if an employee joins Company A and has PF account number X, then later joins another company and gets PF account number Y, the employee should transfer the PF account through the current employer. This responsibility lies with the employee, but often employees do not follow through. To protect themselves, employers have employees fill out Form 11, which is kept by the employer and should be presented to the inspector during inspections.

For fund withdrawal before completing 10 years of service, the employee can withdraw funds using Form 19 and Form 10C. After completing 10 years of service, the employee can use Form 10C and Form 10D for withdrawal. However, after 10 years, the employee can only withdraw the provident fund; the pension fund is transferred to the employee's pension account, which can be accessed after retirement.

I hope this explanation clarifies the process.

Hi,

I applied for PF transfer from my previous to current company in October 2009. The online status on the EPF Chennai Site was "Referred to other Region" initially for Form 13. Now, the form type has been changed to Form 11, and the status is "under process." I would appreciate it if you could provide information on the progress of this process and the steps I need to take from my end. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Thanks,
Yoga

Dear HR Professionals,

Greetings for the day!

I have been working in Goa as a Jr. HR Executive, and I have 1.5 years of experience in the field of HR. I would like to learn about the following procedures:

1) The new PF transfer form (Declaration Form). I would appreciate it if someone could send me the form and provide guidance on the next steps after it is filled.

Secondly, my PF account number from my previous establishment has not been transferred to my new establishment. When I check my PF balance, it shows no eligibility or something similar. I am seeking assistance as I am new to this process. Do I need to use the new PF transfer form for this issue?

Please email me at sueallenlobo@gmail.com for any assistance.

Thank you.
