Employee Satisfaction (E-SAT) Surveys.
Employee satisfaction surveys are conducted to find out the pulse of employees. They capture employees' opinions about their jobs as well as the work environment.
Employee issues and concerns need to be addressed regularly for employee retention and higher productivity. Employee satisfaction surveys, such as this one, help bring forward issues that need to be resolved on a priority basis and provide a platform for employees to raise their concerns.
Procedure
Feedback is sought from various stakeholders for questionnaire design; the questionnaire is reviewed at various levels and then finalized. Ideas are generated for the E-SAT campaign. Posters are designed, and the content and look and feel of the E-SAT launch mail are designed, reviewed, and finalized for the launch. The survey is launched on the Company Survey Tool and is enabled for all employees to participate. A communication mail is sent to all employees informing them that E-SAT has been launched, and they may participate in the survey.
E-SAT campaigns are conducted at the business unit and unit levels through posters, quizzes, slogans, etc. The purpose is to create awareness and encourage employees to participate in E-SAT. The closure of the survey is scheduled 4 to 5 weeks after the launch.
After the survey is closed for employees, a detailed analysis is conducted, and results are presented to the Senior Management, Management Committee, Extended Staff, and then to the rest of the organization through the Unit HR managers. An action plan is developed, and various initiatives are taken to address the identified issues. This plan is validated by the Policy Council. The tracking of the initiatives is done by OE, while the ownership of each initiative lies with the respective logical owners.
Benefits
Employee issues and concerns become visible for resolution and policy alterations.
