PF & PT deductions - my Company is UK based but has it's arm in India as well

Shifali Shetty
Hi, my company is UK-based but has its arm in India as well.

The company doesn't provide PF & PT privileges to employees and pays them salary without deductions.

What could be the possible reasons for not entitling employees to the benefits of PF and PT?

You need to provide more information to get the correct answer. How many employees does the company have in India, and where are they based?

Very simply, the reason for not providing the benefit of EPF shall be due to one reason: that your company does not have 20 employees. If you have 20 or more employees, then the reason should be just conforming to the law of the land. That is a very bad practice.

Hi,

If your company's strength is below 20, then it is not liable for PF. If it is 20 or more, then it is liable for PF.
