Interviewing Skills - Business School Connect

valsafonso
Hi Folks,
I need to visit a Business School shortly to train the students on the do's and don'ts of how to present themselves during interviews. Any input from this forum will be of great help. I can be reached on [Login to view] and alternatively on 9819295981 for a discussion if needed.
Your assistance will be highly appreciated.
Regards

I am not so accomplished to give you inputs, but may I know which B - School will you be going to? Your content might change as per the B School (its ranking, i.e.).
Apart from that, my experiences in hospitality industry and now as an HR professional, I can give following info that I have found helpful. You can pick and choose as per your suitability.
1. Interview conduct begins from when companies visit the campus- students' collective behavior.
2. Small things like knocking on the door before entering, sitting only when offered a seat etc matter (they would matter to people like me if I'm a recruiter)
3. Smiling during interview is important
4. Not giving too rehearsed or 'googled' answers
5. Posture
6. Thanking for their time
I can think of these as of now.

Hi
You may also want to speak of how the students should arrange all their credentials / certificates in the order of latest first in a portfolio. You may also want to teach them how to answer the questions in a poised manner - without sounding too eager to please or arrogant. Students generally miss out on appropriate body language.
Cheers!
