I happened to come across some interesting thoughts on "Corporate Social Responsibility" (CSR).
It says "Though CSR is the primary responsibiity of the investors, an emerging new role of HR in the Philippines and developing countries could be in the making– to be in the forefront of advocating CSR or Corporate Social Responsibility."
So is that the way HR should move?
Do professionals, specially HR professionals in this country have good idea of CSR?
It also talks of "sustainable development"

A detailed process has been developed to ensure that every program delivers measurable improvements in the quality of life, changes attitudes of people involved, provides learning for volunteers and coordinators, and creates possibilities to make an impact on government procedures. The areas for development programs have been identified as vocational training, education, health, empowerment of women and children, water management, and rural and urban development programs.
