Please advise regarding Standing Order shell applicable to Retail stores.

Retail stores where having more than 100/200 employees working is Standing Order applicable?


1. Please suggest any exemption for Retail Stores?
2. The Standing Orders Act, as applicable which states ? ( Ex. In Karnataka applies to industrial establishments where 50 (fifty) or more workmen are employed at any point in time. )
Which states are exempted ?
3. Standing Order is applicable for Consultancy services ? Where more than 100 employees are working.

Q.Whether is any exemption from Industrial Employment Standing Orders for Retail stores and Health care Industries in Karnataka. ( Is applicable or not ) ?

Q.Whether there is any exemption from Industrial Employment Standing Orders establishments defined under The Karnataka Shops & Establishment Act 1961 ?

As per above query i am specifically asking about applicability for Retail Stores ( Where more than 100 employees are working in Karnataka / Maharashtra ) - If Industrial Employment Standing Order is applicable, Please share a notification.

Every shop and establishment is covered under standing orders if it has more then 50 Employees in that particular location.

At one point they had exemption for IT and ITES companies, but I am not sure if it has been withdrawn thereafter or extended
