In case the operation of Fork Lift Machine is confined to your premises (that means no public place) then license is not required. Any trained person can operate.

Forklift License Requirements
As per IS norms, you need a heavy vehicle license to drive a forklift.
Since the IS regulations are only guidelines, it now depends on whether your company has implemented them or not. As such, no license is required within a private premise. However, if there is a fatal accident, a police officer may look at your license and hold you guilty of negligence if you do not have a valid license or proper training.
