Hi, I would suggest going for the family option (married spouse + 2 children; unmarried - father and mother). If your company is not going to pay the premium, how are you going to manage it under the corporate scheme? Please formulate a policy first and work on possible questions from employees.
Considerations for Employee Resignation
What if an employee resigns in the middle of the year after paying the premium? Will the employee continue to get the mediclaim facility or not? If not, will the premium paid be reversed back to him on a pro-rata basis? Will the insurance company make the payment through the employer and directly to the beneficiary (employee)? In case of any claim dispute between the employee and the insurance company, who will mediate?
In the absence of employer contribution, it would be tough to handle it under the corporate scheme. So, please plan and execute properly.
