Learned friends, can the complainant represent himself instead of a lawyer? Is there a labor court process in that case. Please advise.

Can be done but if something goes wrong while presenting the case then its not possible to engage lawyer again in the same proceedings.

It is not advisable to plead one's own case in a labor court unless one is law qualified and has been practicing as well. There is no harm in representing one's own case in the labor department if one is fully conversant with the rules and regulations.

The Industrial Disputes (ID) Act bars the parties from representing their case in the labor court unless agreed upon by the other party. You can represent yourself unless you are confident and know the legal formalities.
