My due date was in Feb 2018 and I have formally informed about my pregnancy on 7 September 2017. My company sent me on leave from 22/01/2018. I have been asking them about the maternity policy from September but on email they never replied. They paid me salary from Feb to May but now for the month of May they have not transferred the salary..When I have asked the HR they have told it is put on hold. This is also they have told verbally. They have never replied on my email..Kindly tell me what action can be taken.

Thanks for sharing the reply but it didn't work out. Now they are saying that my salary will be on hold for 3 months and they will release it once I join back. Kindly let me know whether it is correct as per law.

Please file a case with the labour commissioner of that area. It is illegal. Have all supporting documents in hand

Withholding salary is against the provisions of MB Act and the legal remedy is to approach the Labour Officer of the area for his intervention. Another approach could be to inform about this to the State Women's Commission.
