The varying DA results in enormous work for the HR & payroll since most of the companies adhere to the CTC concept these days.
The delay in the release of the notification by the respective state govt. / statutory bodies further increases the work load, since the arrears would have to be calculated and records would have to be prepared accordingly in the statutory registers. The impact that this increase would have on the balance sheet (as "employee cost") of the company is also something worth considering, especially in the current scenario, where most of the business are not doing good.
