I have started an office from which we provide education on the latest technologies to school students. In this connection, I need to hire staff. Instead of hiring full-time employees, I am considering taking on interns from MBA Marketing and HR programs for a period of 30 to 45 days. However, the question arises as I have not registered my firm yet because, as a sole proprietor, I have been advised that there is no mandatory registration required.

What registration is applicable to me in this case? Do I need to register for Service tax, or should I comply with the Shops and Establishments Act, or are there any other requirements?
