Hello friends,

I have been called for an interview at PNB for the position of clerk, and I have a question regarding this. I actually want to join the government sector banks, but this is my reason, and you cannot give the same to HR. So if they ask, "Why do you want to join only our bank, that is PNB?" What should I answer? I have researched about the company but still got no clue. Please help.

I am looking for an organization where I can work and learn. I want to contribute to the growth of the organization while also seeking a good environment for learning and personal growth. I think PNB has all these qualities.

I don't think they will ask such a question. If they do ask, then tell them that you really want to work for a nationalized bank in India with a good track record. PNB is one of the highly reputed banks in India and has a very good name in the banking sector. You can say that you would like to work with a good banking employer who can provide job satisfaction and learning through interacting with a wide range of customer base (urban & rural).

Wishing you all the best.

Such types of questions are very common in banking interviews. You must give a positive and straightforward answer like, "I want to join this bank because of its status, quick promotional scope, good salary, and other facilities provided by the bank to its employees like home loans at low interest, interest-free loans, leave fare concession, etc., that you cannot easily find in any other sector. If you have any further queries, please email me at rana_burrediffmail.com.
