What kind of package can I expect? The position in based in Delhi with a famous F&B giant primarily into upper casual dine-in having a pan india presence.

Will be thankful for your help and guidance.

Set your internal equity of jobs in the organization to decide the relative job weightage to different jobs accordance to its important to your business process.
then work out payband of salary range to fix the job price range and then allot points using scale as produced below to say you can workout job price with internal equity and external market competitiveness...
External competitiveness will depend on your market survey or exact current salary trends for such positions and competencies as well as skills.
This is tool offered as principle to arrive at internal equity and pricing of jobs but you have to use your salary grade scale for different positions and award points as per evaluation on the basis of above scale.
go to my next comments for attachment..........
Points allotted may differ it depends on your organization philosophy where exactly you want this position to be placed in the organization.

Thanks rajsawster. I got the question incorrect. Basically I have been offered this job. How much can I expect in terms of compensation and benefits keeping in mind the J.D and my background?
I have following doubtful statements in this job description where you mentioned this is Job Description for GM-HR

1 reports to the GM HR, and assists company managers with HR issues. How GM reports GM and Assist Managers.
2. Uses Recognition and Coaching tools to build Restaurant Excellence and Continuous Improvement ( This points seems like Hotel Manager Job- assisting Manager and holding GM-HR positoin)
Your experitnce also shows that you have 80% that is 5+ years in F&B operations-restaurant management)
This whole Job Description is doubtful case..

Raj

1. The position is not titled as GM-HR. I'll be reporting to GM HR. Position's name is confidential, (not a generic one)
2. Point 2 in JD refers to driving recognition/coaching practices in 100+ restaurant pan India.
3. I had excelled greatly in people practices and had innovated quite a few which are now regarded as best practices in our market. That was the reason of my transition from operations to a seemingly strategic HR-Ops post.
Hope this clarifies.

You need to bench mark 7 yrs in F & B industry only. You will not be able to bench mark with another industry like MFG or IT. If you are really looking for number as your answer, the F & B guys only can respond to this question, which will be very limited.
Regards

I operated as a Retail Store Manager for this company positioned in restaurants-upper casual dining for 5+ years. Looked after operations, admin, HR at store level (including recruitments), payroll, local marketing plan development and implementation, spreading brand awareness, corporate sales etc.
Hope that clarifies about where I am coming from.

Its not you who will decide your market price...............:!:
My friend its market who decides on the basis of demand and supply.
Evaluation of the job in question can be done by only hiring companies who ascertain your job price as per their business economics...:-D
We don't know the what grade business and profit margin they operates business and what level of expertise they desire. These days Shopping MALLs like Carriefoure, Walmart etc have set diferent standard in that context where your employer rate his business practises....
