is it compulsory to give Holiday on Election Day as we work for IT company.

We work for an IT company which basically works for European clients , we are confused about the holiday on election day 2019 . it should be working or holiday?

Section 135-B of the People's Representation Act,1951 provides for a paid holiday on the date of polling for elections. Just because of the inconvenience likely to be caused to your European clients, your Indian employees cannot be deprived of their adult franchise.

My company is giving unpaid leave on Saturday so if an employee takes leave on Monday then what will happen in case of LWP Sunday will also be an unpaid leave of that employee??
