Sir,

One person has worked in a government organization until his retirement age of 60 years, where he received Rs. 300,000 for gratuity. Now after retirement, he joined a trust office (FMCG) as DGM-BANKING, where he worked for more than 5 years until the age of 67 years. In this trust office, the normal retirement age for others is 58 years. Now, please let me know whether this person is eligible to receive a gratuity amount from the trust office. If yes, then how much?

After retirement, he has joined a trust office. The payment of gratuity is based on the service conditions on which he was employed. If the employment was on a 'Fixed Term' contract basis, then he would be eligible for gratuity.

Sir,

He worked in a government banking sector until his retirement age of 60 years, where he received Rs. 300,000 for gratuity. Now, after retirement, he joined our public limited company as a DGM-Banking. He worked for more than 5 years with extended service three times and resigned at the age of 67 years.

There is no standing order passed by any authority. As per our recruiting policy, the normal retirement age is 58 years, and as per the Gratuity trust account opened, the age limit is also 58 years. Now, please let me know if this person is eligible to receive the gratuity amount from our company?
