Temporary Staff as Consultants
To avoid the confusion created by the very frequent resignations of entry-level staff and their frequent replacements, we are following a procedure of treating all temporary staff as "Consultants" for six months (during the temporary period) and not covering them under ESI and PF provisions. TDS is being deducted for these temporary staff.
Confirmation and Registration
When an employee is confirmed on the rolls after the temporary period (maybe after six months of their joining), we are registering them under ESI and PF.
