Maximum night shift duties in a Month and how many consecutive night shifts can be given to the worker in a factory?

In a factory in Maharashtra operating 24x7, persons are required to work in a shifts. Timings of shifts are as follows.
Night shift: 00.00 to 08.00 hrs
General Shift: 08.00 to 16.00 hrs
Evening shift: 16.00 to 24.00 hrs
How many Night shift can be given to a person in a month as per rules?
Secondly, how many consecutive night shifts can be given to the worker in a factory?

There is no such restriction regarding continuous engagement of workmen during night shift. It depends on the company policy but considering the principles of employee welfare which calls for keeping a balance between work and personal life, it is always advisable that night shifts shall be changed after every week or at least in every fortnight.

If there is no provision in law for no. of night shifts to be allotted to individual worker in a month, for company operating round the clock, then Manager may misuse the power to harass worker who is on target of him. He can give him worker 26 nights in a month.
