Hi, I am a Software Test Engineer with 4 years of work experience; 3 years at Cognizant and 1 year at Capgemini. I am looking to transition from a technical role to HR, which is why I am currently pursuing the executive HR program (EPHRM) at IIM C this year. Below are my queries:
1. I don't want to restart my career from scratch or at an entry-level salary. How challenging is it to internally switch to an HR role within an organization, gain experience, and then transition to HR positions in other companies?
2. Can I leverage this executive degree to apply for project or delivery manager roles, or other managerial positions if transitioning to HR proves to be very difficult?
3. Are desirable HR roles primarily found in large MNCs? What are the opportunities for HR professionals in smaller organizations, and is the pay significantly lower?
