Seeking Ph.D. Research Ideas: How Can I Combine HR and Finance for My Study?

I am interested in pursuing a Ph.D. and starting my research work. I have been working in a private college for the last 6 years. My specialization is in MBA HR and Finance. Please suggest some topics that combine both areas for my research.

As you have chosen to be anonymous, it is not possible to find out your background. Since you are teaching MBAs, I am sure that you have a Master's degree. Did you study Research Methodology as a subject? If so, you should know how to go about selecting a topic.
