How to safe guard a safety officer himself, if the employer not ready to make the work safely??

SUJEESHTM
I am a safety officer working for the past 10 years. Many times, I am forced to keep quiet when the work is being done unsafely. Most of our employers only concentrate on completing the work quickly without providing much safety to their employees. As a safety officer, we have to keep records of informing the management to change tasks to ensure safety, but they refuse to sign the safety observation notes. In such conditions, how can we safeguard our jobs when accidents occur?

Please let me know.

Dear Sujeesh,

I recommend that you conduct the training on the safety aspects of the workers' work. Thereafter, obtain the certificate from the operations in charge regarding the implementation of the training practices. This way, you will be able to protect yourself, albeit partially and not completely.

Thanks,
