Navigating Job Interviews: How to Explain Leaving a Job and Job Search Gaps?

RAHULTHUKRAL421
Hi,

Could anyone please help me with a situation? If a person had a bad relationship with their manager and left the company, but then was unable to secure a job within the notice period, what should they say to a hiring company regarding why they left the previous company and why they couldn't find a new job within the notice period?

Can you please help me with this matter? I would be extremely grateful for any assistance.

Sir, every company asks why I left the job without any offer in hand. They also mention that if I didn't secure a new job, I should have stayed and then left the company. However, due to my strained relationship with the manager, I felt it was better to resign. Now, I am struggling to convince potential employers who are interested in hiring me. In this scenario, what steps should I take?

You can say that you were not getting leaves to attend the interview during the notice period, and that's why you were not able to secure the job within that period.

Please be honest and tell the truth. Some recruiting companies will appreciate and hire you. However, in the future, do not be so emotional at work and resign without having an alternate job.

Dear Friend,

The reason you offered in your resignation is the best explanation. Your honest reply will not be acceptable and not be digested. Always offer some genuine reasons (domestic issues) which required 3-4 months' time as your employer did not allow. Now you can well understand how difficult it is to get a new job within a time stipulation except for a few lucky ones. Now onwards, be judicious; do not be driven by emotion until you have an alternate job in hand.

You can mention that the 'work atmosphere was unacceptable and it was affecting you on a personal and professional level, so you decided to quit immediately.
