What Are the Registration and Qualification Requirements for a Labour Welfare Officer in Tamil Nadu?

Could you please let me know if there are any registration and qualification requirements for a Labour Welfare Officer in Tamil Nadu? If so, please provide me with the details.

There is no registration required. The only thing is that the appointment of a Welfare Officer should be intimated to the Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers. They are to be paid a salary as per the Government notification in this regard. Their status in the company should be at par with other Executive Heads of the factory. Moreover, they should be given leaves as per the government notification.

Qualification Requirements

The qualification should be a Degree with MSW or a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management/Labour Laws or LLB with Labour Law as an Elective.
