Please help me with a query: Can we decrease the manpower strength in the Labor License or not? If we can, please share the procedure.

You can increase or decrease the manpower numbers in the license/registration at any time during the license/registration tenure. The procedure is very simple; you just need to apply for an amendment.

However, why would you want to decrease the manpower number in the license? It is better to have it on the higher side since exceeding the manpower allowed in the license/registration can lead to offenses and attract penalties.

I would like to inform you that the contractor was initially permitted to provide more than 20 to 30 personnel. However, now he is only allowed to provide 10 personnel on a daily basis. This change is the reason why we need to reduce the manpower.

I appreciate the reply from Mr. Yadav. If you wish to control the manpower, ensure that the contractor does not enter more than the required number of workers in Form-XIII. Additionally, refrain from issuing Gate Passes or Work Permit Cards to workers exceeding the necessary count, as per your management's prerogative. It is advisable not to reduce the number on the license, as you may need to surpass the limit on any given day, especially in case of emergencies as required by management.
