Designing a Balanced Scorecard for a Flat Software Organization: What Should I Include?

Jennifer Isaac
Hi All,

Kindly let me know in a software organization what type of points would include in the below-mentioned parameters:

1. Financial Perspective
2. Customer Perspective
3. Internal Business Perspective
4. Learning & Growth Perspective

The organization structure is a flat one:

1. Technical Associate Trainee
2. Technical Associate
3. Project Lead / Team Lead
4. AVP
5. Associate HR
6. Manager HR

So based on these designations, I need to design a Balanced Scorecard with various points included in these parameters.

Waiting for your reply.

Regards,
Jennifer Isaac

It actually depends on the organization's vision and the kind of services/products it's dealing with. For example, a big organization like TCS assigns equal weightage to all aspects, whereas in a middle-sized software product organization, there is a high possibility that customer satisfaction holds a higher weightage compared to internal processes.

In brief, it depends on the "Org Vision" which gets converted into the Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
