Seeking Sample Agreement for Training Bond: How Do You Handle Employee Commitments?

shekharvarma2606
Dear Friends,

We are sending a few employees for external training. As per our policy, if someone is sent for training, they have to serve for 2 years with the company; otherwise, they will have to reimburse the training costs, which include travel expenses, training fees, lodging, and boarding. I kindly request if any member has such an Agreement or Indemnity Bond that I can issue to the employee.

Regards,
Shekhar

Sir,

What is Bonded Labor? Does it have a corporate term? Does Bonded Labour still exist in India?

---

Bonded labor, also known as debt bondage, is a form of labor where a person is forced to work to pay off a debt. This practice is illegal in many countries, including India. However, despite legal prohibitions, bonded labor still exists in various industries in India, especially in sectors like agriculture, construction, and domestic work. The system traps individuals and families in a cycle of poverty and exploitation.

Dear Shekar,

Why do you want to adopt somebody's agreement? You can create a draft with the conditions you wish to include in the agreement. We will assist you in finalizing it because you have all the necessary details. For example, where you are sending them for training, the skills they need to acquire, the expected expenses such as travel costs, training fees, boarding and lodging charges, whether it is a regular training or specialized training for specific technology-related skills, and the expected performance post-training.

I hope this helps clarify the process. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Best regards

Hello dear,

Have you heard of the name "Swami Agniwaish"? He is a pioneer in the field of bonded labour. His organization's name is "Bandhua Mukti Morcha," and their head office is in Delhi on Asif Ali Road. For years, he has been working in this field. Yes, it exists in India, and still, thousands of minors work as bonded laborers in manufacturing industries like bidi making, carpet making, etc.
