Ok, looking at your reply I see that you are basically interested in a training program which makes your trainees aware of best practices in communication & body language.. RIGHT????
I am putting down an outline of a training program and this should be sufficient enough to help you design a presentation on it. Please write back to me as to how did you find it and if any further assistance required.
OUTLINE for Communication program:
Introduction (Communication as a skill)
Why learn communicaton skills (Benefits and what's in it for the trainees)
Research Diagram of how much of communication affects our effectiveness (Words, Tone OR Attitude, Body language)
Truths about effective communication (here you can add some case studies or personal examples)
Difference between informal and formal communication
The flow of communication (you can chart out a flow of communication process, which consists elements like: Sender, Formulation of message, Channel, Delivery method, Receiver, Perception, Understanding & Response and again perception and understanding of sender)
Barriers to effective communication (Internatl and external) e.g. Internal Agitation OR frustration due to a bad news or bad day; External constant ringing of mobile phones, Environment, etc
Tips for overcoming the barriers
Tips on effective communication (like note taking, rephrasing, summerising, asking questions to understand needs, active listening, SMILE etc)
Body Language:
What is body language?
Basics of body language (gestures, postures)
Hand & Arm Gestures and interpretation
Legs & Lower body gestures and interpretation
Head & shoulder guestures and interpretation
Overall clusters of gestures and postures and their interpretation
Tips on best practices
Tips on converting a negative posture in to positive one
I guess with the above outline you would be able to manage to make an effective presenation which would zap your trainees and they will love you for the skills that they could acquire due to your efforts. You can use some activities, exercises and role plays to enhance your training experience.
