Hi Abhas,
Your question is not very clear, What exact change are you talking about a change from sales to finance?
In that case as soon as you finish your PGDBM join the banking or the insurance industry, I would propose ICICI as they provide excellent learning opportunites and they have a very target based working enviornment.
Please advise to what exactly are you looking at and then might be able to suggest you something more too.
As far as the question goes I believe its a good shift.
Good luck on your venture.
Regards,
AJ

H Abhas,
Your degrees (BSc Maths and Finance) will be very much wanted in the finance field.
Try for analysis jobs in mutual funds asset management companies, equity research.
It is always the right time to take right career change decisions.
Best Luck.

Hi AJ & Anand
Thanks for your answers.yes you are absolute right that i want to completely
change from sales to finance.would it be beneficial to have experience of sale
to go in finance field. moreover i don't have knowledge of finence and account because i have completed my degree in Maths so i am feeling one kind of insecurity that it would be right decision for me or not.
please suggest me
expecting for your answer
thanx
Regards
Abhas

Hi abhas,

Please be informed that your career doesnt depend on your graduation till you are not a doctor or an engineer, Most of the times people realize what they want to do once they join the industry or once they start working, since you are already doing finance as PGDBM it wont be a problem to start working in finance once you complete your course.

Your insecurity is understandable and you will have tough times when you start working but since you already know this is what you want to do once you spend some time at work it will definitely become easier.

Your sales experience might come in handy if you are shifting jobs in the same company or company with the same domain of projects or services. Owise you will have to start as an executive and grow from there.

To sum it up also want to inform you that since its a globalized economy the finance job options will always exist. I understand that the shift in careers is risky and only brave people do take chances but since you are young and can afford to take the risk do it.

Regards,

AJ

Hi Abhas, Dont worry, just jump into the finance field with confidence in you and your finance information. (I will not say knowledge). Rgds
:icon1:hi very much thanks to both of you for giving me some valuable suggetions.definetely i will proceed myself towards finance field with confidence. thanx Regards Abhas
