Dear All,
I am Sumit, an HR Professional.Currently working in Gurgaon based IT MNC as an HR Executive.I have total 2.8 Years of experience. Before my current organization i worked with two Placement Firms as an HR Executive, there my profile was of a Recruiter (IT & Non IT).In my current company i am not directly involved in to Recruitment but i am monitoring the recruitment process & reducing the Cycle Time.So i have moved from hardcore recruitment to Core HR and drawing an annual package of 1.8 L.
I request all the seniors to help me in my career planning where i can quickly climb the ladder. I am open for relocation and ready to move in any industry.
Can I also look for some higher studies options like MS - HR. I've already completed my MBA in HR from Sikkim Manipal University.
Looking forward for your valuable & helpful advice.

Hi Sumit
In my opinion there is no shortcut to success. Hard-work and the knowledge can keep you at higher steps. As you said, you have now entered core-HR domain, I trust you will be able to find new heights in future too. But if you think to work only for money, I think then in the future you may not get better returns . Growth may be slow at the beginning but would be steady in the future with high returns.
I would suggest that you get involve in all the HR process of the company, make use of knowledge and skills in making decisions and continue using your learnings in your work. You will get good opportunity. Don't worry.
You can make your resume attractive by writing about the work you do, but please remember not to fake your capabilities.
All the best to you!!

Dear Anuradha,
Thank you so much for your advice. It would be of more help if you can tell something more about wisely taking decisions regarding career planning. i completly agree with you that there are no shortcuts to the success, but my question was more concerned about intelligent career moves & career planning that could be, switching the jobs in pre planned & intelligent way or to pursue some higher courses in HRM or allied field within the Country or Outside Country that could give the desired edge and can help to get a good growth really fast.
Looking forward for your valuable advice again.

Hi Sumit
I think most of us read useful things sent by others, but seldom do we try to implement things in our organization. We should all learn to try and do different things and implement positive change in organizations. Try talking to ur senior regarding what you want to do for the betterment of your organization. First do your research on the area you want to change in ur organization.
Regarding your career planning, if your query is about higher studies, there are various institutes like AIMA, MDI, etc. where you can enhance your management knowledge. go to their sites- look at the course which will suit you. There are various management development programmes which may also help you.
I am also in a phase of learning. So there may be people who can give better answers to ur question. All I can say is that try to read more HR stuff and try bringing out your own way of doing these things. You will definitely get benefited.
